His hair had been flowing over his shoulders for as long as anyone could remember. At school and in public, as well as on family outings, he was frequently mistaken for a girl by strangers. “She’s so cute,” followed by awkward corrections, was a typical occurrence.
He didn’t mind at all. He had grown up with his hair; it was a part of him. However, the remarks began to feel different as he grew older. He saw that individuals were looking twice, perplexed by the difference between what they expected and what they found.
He took a risk one day and decided it was time for a change. He entered the barbershop with a determined air and left with a completely different appearance.
The world perceived him differently once he got a basic haircut.
