She was self-conscious about her nose for the majority of her life. It wasn’t straight, and she thought it stood out more than anything else from specific perspectives.
For her, it was a daily source of insecurity, even though others might not have noticed it as much. She was reminded of the one thing she wished she could change by every picture and every look in the mirror.
She ultimately decided to get a nose job after years of deliberation. Being at ease in her own flesh was more important than being flawless.
Planning, consultations, and a great deal of emotional preparation were all part of the process. She was prepared for the change, even though she knew it wouldn’t be simple.
Weeks later, when she glanced in the mirror, her grin, her confidence, and her manner of carrying herself had all changed, not just the form of her nose.
The goal of the nose job was to bring out the self she always knew existed, not to change who she was.
