The ambulance’s path was blocked by a dog, which prevented it from moving. The doctors were astounded by what they observed.
The ambulance was on its way back from a call that day.The medical staff was hurrying back, exhausted yet focused because it had been a busy day with call after call. The car abruptly came to a stop and a dog was seen sitting in the center of the road.
It stood just in front of the ambulance. No flashing lights or clever thinking could get it to move. The dog seemed to be trying to communicate with the people.
The driver whispered, “Something’s wrong here.”
“Let’s do it,” the nurse proposed.
An elderly man was lying beneath the bushes in the grass.Unconscious, with a feeble pulse and blue lips.He was alone himself, and nobody would have discovered him there if it weren’t for the dog.
There was nobody who chased the dog away at the emergency room.It received food, pet care, and water from someone.Everyone was in awe of its devotion.
The man was moved from intensive care to a standard ward one day later. Then, every employee, from janitors to junior nurses, began pleading with the head physician, saying, “Please, let the dog see its owner… it did so much for him.”
The doctor persisted.
There was silence when the dog was brought into the room. The man struggled to raise his head…and began to weep. The dog crept to the bed, pushed itself against it, and gave a gentle whine.
After then, things started to get better. The patient waited for his pal by the window each day.He spoke with him and assured him that he would take him for walks as soon as he was free.
