As the day came to an end, one woman, Ashley, prepared to leave work and go home. According to ilovemydogsomuch, she drove her usual commute and eventually turned down her street.
As she approached her house, Ashley noticed a cardboard Amazon package at the end of her driveway. That was unexpected. Perhaps it was left there by accident.
Ashley got out of her car and walked over to the box. She thought she heard movement inside the house. Despite the fact that it had been a long day, something did not seem quite right. At that point, she heard faint screams. Oh no! Ashley grabbed the box quickly and dashed into her house with it.
There was a small dog inside. Because he was so small, Ashley had no idea what to do with him! She quickly dialed the number of a nearby veterinarian. He instructed Ashley on how to care for the dog until he could visit them the next day. Ashley attempted to feed the puppy a special formula from a bottle. He had to be starving. She chose the name Jackson for the puppy.
Jackson had only been three weeks old at the time. This was far from perfect. He was eager to see his mother. He couldn’t regulate his body temperature or feed himself. He needed constant supervision and individual attention. The next day, Ashley was taught how to properly care for Jackson by the veterinarian.
Ashley showed Jackson her cat, Dan, when the two returned home. They hit it off right away! Dan taught Jackson how to play! Ashley quickly realized, however, that something was wrong with Jackson. She had no idea what was wrong, but every mother understands. She called the vet and scheduled an emergency appointment for the puppy.
