Mom frustrated when dog continuously wakes the baby until she realizes it’s a warning

Dogs may not speak the same language but that doesn’t stop them from communicating with us. When they want or need something, they make it known.

Often, we can communicate with our dogs better than we can with other humans. We know that a certain look from Spot means he wants some food! For one family, their dog trying to communicate with them ended up saving a life.

I’m very grateful.

This holiday season, a family in Glastonbury, Connecticut, is especially grateful because their dog saved their daughter’s life.

A few evenings ago, Kelly Dowling was preparing her daughter for bed while engaging in all the traditional “motherly” activities. As she swaddled her infant, everything appeared typical; the only exception was that the little girl had a little cold. However, infants frequently contract colds, and the best treatment is typically some rest.

Putting a child to sleep

Dowling put her infant in the cot after entering the nursery and continued with her routine.

Henry resisted going.

Henry acted at that point. The family dog, Henry, a Boston Terrier, is deserving of all the affection given what transpired next. Henry wasn’t quite prepared to leave the nursery when Dowling had already left. Henry appeared curiously motivated to enter the nursery and bark despite his mother repeatedly removing him from there.

An angry owner

Dowling was annoyed by Henry’s difficult bedtime routine.

Began to bark

Any dog owner is aware that occasionally a dog’s barking is meaningless. The young girl’s capacity to sleep was being disturbed by Henry’s apparent fuss. Dowling wasn’t pleased, and Henry was being stubborn. He repeatedly flung open the door to the nursery, eventually rousing her.

Unusual actions

Henry doesn’t typically disobey, so this was strange.

Henry normally wanders around the home after dark, but if he ventures somewhere inappropriate, a stern “no” usually suffices. Henry wasn’t even surprised when he was told “no” this time! He appeared to be hovering close to the cot and kept opening the nursery door.

A hint she was unable to ignore

Dowling realized there was a problem when she realized Henry was purposefully not paying attention.

This time, when he woke her up, I could tell something wasn’t right because of the way she was crying. She sounded strange. She was having trouble breathing when I brought her downstairs, according to Dowling. He had to have known or possibly smelled or heard something because he was so tenacious and refused to flee or stop when I ordered him to.

Dowling noticed her infant was having trouble breathing as she ran into the nursery. When attempts to suction out the congestion proved unsuccessful, she quickly started to turn blue. They were able to give the baby air just in time by hastening her to the hospital.

The family’s hero is Henry!

Even if we can’t be certain that Henry knew what he was doing, it is certain that things may have gone worse if he hadn’t been so aggressive! This Christmas, he will DEFINITELY deserve some special treats!

Please SHARING this with your loved ones.
