Man descends into 25-foot deep fissure in live volcano to rescue terrified dog

You don’t come across dog rescues like this every day!

Malka wandered the Hilo island after getting separated from his family. She was found thanks to a GPS tracker attached to her collar, which allowed her owner to track her down.

They were astounded to learn that Malka had plunged 25 feet into a crack in a neighboring volcano and was terrified.

It would be difficult to save the dog, but they knew exactly who to call.

Hawaiian YouTuber Kawika Singson is well-known on the island for photographing exploding volcanoes while getting up close and personal with them.

After receiving a text about Malka, Singson drove the 100 miles to try to save the dog.

When Singson arrived, he met Cody, Malka’s owner, and other people who were there to help. Singson used climbing gear to enter the volcanic fissure.

Singson was determined to save the life of this sick puppy despite the fact that he knew it would be dangerous due to the high temperatures and poisonous fumes.

The entire rescue was captured on Singson’s headcam, which shows him approaching the dog. Malka huddled between rock plates, sobbing in agony.

Singson eventually caught Malka by the collar and secured her in a safety harness before climbing back up to her owner.

Malka was unharmed and grateful to be alive after falling 25 feet and going two days without food or drink.
