Kindergartner chooses school’s security officer for ‘Dress As Your Favorite Person Day’

Every one of us had a role model when we were young.

You probably idolized a fictitious figure, a superhero, or just a regular person whose work as a vocation greatly impressed you.

It was the person who safeguards them while they learn at school for a little lad by the name of Easton Blocker.

It’s none other than Jefferey Cross, the security guard at their school.

The then-kindergartner expressed nothing but admiration for Officer Cross’s professional work at such a young age.

In fact, Easton made it clear to the entire school in 2020 during the school’s “Dress As Your Favorite Person Day.”

He arrived that day fully attired as a school security guard.

He made an effort to dress exactly like Officer Cross—yellow shirt, black slacks, and black shoes.

The young school security guard was quite pleased to announce to Officer Cross and the rest of the faculty that he was his favorite person.

He has a crush on Officer Cross, according to his mother Lauryn, who spoke to Good Morning America. You may expect him to say, “That’s my best friend!”

Mother of Easton could see and sense how much her son admired Officer Cross.

She went out of her way to get her son’s costume so that she could support him at the impending event.

Even the back of the yellow shirt had vinyl letters that read “Junior Security.”

I’m going to say, ‘Hey, this is how much my son adores you,’ for someone who my son looks up to so much, Lauryn continued.

Officer Cross was moved to tears.

As a father of one and a parent, he found knowing about all of this to be very disturbing.

“The majority of the students are expected to dress up as their instructors or classmates. Since the first day of school, Easton has approached me and given me hugs. He’s really cute. He described himself to GMA as having a really jovial, upbeat demeanor.

Let’s face it: one of the purest gestures of compassion we will ever see in this terrible world is the innocence of a child.

In this instance, Easton is merely admiring how Office Cross keeps students safe at school rather than the supernatural abilities that are sometimes depicted on television and in movies.

It increased his love for his work.

Officer Cross told THV11 that he became more appreciative of his profession after seeing how his performance of duty had a significant impact on a young boy like Easton.

Wer would not? You will undoubtedly appreciate your job more if you realize how much of an impact it has on people, let alone children.

When Officer Cross becomes weary, we are confident that this beautiful event will inspire him to carry on and work harder.

On their official Facebook page, Jacksonville North Pulaski School District also posted the lovely moment.

“Check this out!” was the caption. Lester Elementary is celebrating “Dress As Your Favorite Person Day” today. Easton, a kindergarten student, dressed as Officer Cross, his preferred school security guard. 🖤💛
