Kelly Clarkson admits that divorce from Brandon Blackstock ‘ripped her apart’

Since her debut on American Idol, Kelly Clarkson has captured the hearts of millions of people. Twenty years later, she is still regarded as one of the top female vocalists and as an American sweetheart.

On April 24, 1982, Kelly was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She has always enjoyed singing and performing, but up until Cindy Glenn, her music teacher, overheard her singing in the hallway at Pauline Hughes Middle School, she had only done so at home. When Kelly was given a spot in the school chorus, everyone quickly saw how brilliant she was.

America’s sweetheart, who showed us that anything is possible in life, didn’t have an easy childhood because her father abandoned her and her family. This made a lasting impression on Kelly, who later found it difficult to trust men.

Everyone agreed that when she began dating her now-ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, she had finally found her soul mate. Brandon has always come across as devoted and committed to the union.
The couple had their daughter River Rose as their first child soon after getting married. They welcomed their son Remington in 2016. They formed a sweet blended family with Brandon’s two kids from a previous union.

Brandon isn’t my other half, though. Both He and I are complete. Back then, Kelly said of Brandon, “I’ve never believed in someone taking care of me, and that’s probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of familial stability.

As one of the top celebrity couples, Kelly and Brandon appeared to have it all together. However, when Kelly filed for divorce in 2020, everything changed. Many people, especially her followers, were greatly shocked by the news. Nothing indicated problems, so it wasn’t surprising that over time people began to wonder what was happening behind closed doors.

Kelly hasn’t frequently discussed her divorce in public, but she recently opened up about the entire process while appearing on the IRL podcast after being asked what divorce “does to you.”

Every time you fall in love and it doesn’t last, the singer remarked, “It rips you apart.”

The hardest part of divorce, in my opinion, is that it wasn’t a snap choice, especially when it’s publicized and people assume they know everything.

“Anyone who has gone through divorce knows it took years to make, or not make, it work. I never wanted to be a part of something that was supposed to “make it work.”

“I wanted to make it beautiful, awesome, and everything it could possibly be, and sometimes that just doesn’t happen,” she continued.

The 40-year-old woman also discussed the impact of the divorce on her two children.
I don’t ever say, ‘Oh god, don’t tell me that,’ but a lot of the time it would be like, ‘You know, I’m just so sad, I wish mommy and daddy were in the same house,’ which hurts me because I want them to be honest.

“I’m raising that kind of person, and they’re pretty honest about it.

After the divorce, it was made public by the media that she was required to pay her ex-husband a staggering $200,000 every month as part of the divorce settlement.

We send Kelly Clarkson all the best that life has to offer.
