In one of her speech Emma Watson appears to criticize J.K. Rowling’s trans remarks on social media account

Emma Watson seems to criticize J.K. Rowling’s comments against trans people on her social media account in one of her speeches.

At the 2022 Awards on Sunday, Emma Watson made it abundantly plain that she would be screaming out all exorcists. The 32-year-old performer was introduced to the podium by host Rebel Wilson, who said, “She calls herself a feminist, and we already know she’s a witch.” According to The Guardian, Emma screamed, “I’m here with all the wizards.”

The star from The Bling Ring didn’t elaborate on her remark, but many saw it as a subtle jab at J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, who received considerable criticism in June 2020 following a series of divisive tweets labeled “anti-trans.” J.K. had previously been accused of gender bias, but on June 6, 2020, she came under fire for her comments in response to a Devex news article headlined “Opinion:

establishing a post-COVID-19 future for persons who identify as women that is more egalitarian. Men who identify as transgender, particularly genderqueer and non-binary people, can ovulate and experience periods.

J.K. nonetheless answered, “Those who identify as women.” There must have been a name for them back then. Anyone, help me, pls. Why impound?

She obviously meant to imply “women.”

She continued, “I wanted my trans fans to know that I and many other people all across the world see, accept, and embrace you for who or what you are.
