Shaq committed to doing at least one nice deed each time he left the house. It appears that he has been keeping his word.
Shaq recently helped a Texas family of 11 known as “The Collins Kids” on Instagram. This was his most recent deed of charity.
On February 23, the family’s mother, Karissa, wrote on Instagram about how Shaq had assisted them.
The sportsman surprised the family with a visit last month and treated them to dinner at Babe’s Chicken.
Karissa, 36, posted on Facebook and Instagram that it was “so fun to just hang out and eat dinner with him.”
Shaq, though, didn’t want it to stop with a straightforward meal. He took the family to a Mercedes-Benz dealership the following day, where he bought them a brand-new 15-person van.
This is such a wonderful blessing, said Karissa, who is expecting a second child. “He didn’t even know we were getting too big for our 12-passenger van, and the air conditioning wasn’t always the best,” she said. Mandrae Collins, Facebook Karissa’s husband, works as a manager at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Harlem Globetrotters in the past.
Shaq took them to dinner at the Rainforest Café after that, but since he didn’t realize they were out-of-state missionaries, he paid for another table’s entire meal.
The basketball player handed his server a generous $1,000 tip after learning that her car had broken down that day.
Mandrae, a 38-year-old truck owner, has been operating his vehicle without heat or air conditioning for some time. Shaq was unaware of this, but as soon as he spotted the automobile, he drove the family to a Ford dealership where the father purchased a brand-new truck.

“Of course, we’d love to spend out with him and get to know him.My kids enjoy seeing him in all of his commercials and films, and I used to watch him play baseball when I was a youngster, she added.
Shaq visited Karissa to wish her a happy birthday while he was in town. She described the once-in-a-lifetime experience as “surreal”.
“He walked in and played Watch Your Mouth with the youngsters. He showed us so much love, Karissa said. “He loved on them, encouraged us as parents, entertained them, took photographs with them, gave them gifts, and just showed us so much love.
Anthym and Anchor, Karissa’s two small children, are reportedly apprehensive of strangers. However, they quickly warmed to Shaq and begged him to hold them.
We should all try to emulate Shaq’s efforts to give back to his community in our own modest ways.
