Nothing is more special than a child’s attachment with their dog. Every child ought to be raised with a dog. Dogs are not only excellent companions, but they are also fiercely loyal to and willing to risk their lives for their owners. This was demonstrated last week by a small but incredibly brave dog that, despite suffering injuries in the process, battled off a coyote to save her 10-year-old owner. Aged 6 years, Macy may be a mixed-race Yorkie. She resides in Scarborough, Toronto, with her owner Dorothy Kwan and her family.
While out for a neighborhood stroll with her 10-year-old daughter, Macy’s outing took a dramatic turn when the child came face to face with a wild coyote. But to everyone’s surprise, the little dog confronted the coyote to defend her owner.
The video is awful. As Macy cries out for help, you can see the coyote attacking her in the background. But in the end, Messi emerged victorious. As long as Messi continued to bark, the coyote fled, apparently scared off by the smaller dog.
You can see our dog placing herself between my daughter and the coyote, Dorothy Kwan told blogTO. She continued to bark at the coyote and chase it away while being seriously injured. She fought back. Despite managing to escape the coyote, Macy sustained severe injuries. Her body and leg suffered numerous injuries. She is receiving surgery to treat her injuries at the emergency animal hospital, Dorothy wrote.
Orothy was devastated by the knowledge that her beloved pet dog had suffered injuries in order to save her daughters. My heart is bleeding for my infant as well as for our dog, which we adopted five years ago. The two children I have on my own and our dog mean the world to me. To have her wounds examined, Macy was sent to an animal hospital, but the fee was thousands of dollars.
However, when Macy’s family created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the finances and publicized Macy’s bravery, many contributed. Over $20,000 have been raised on the page, exceeding its initial fundraising target.
Messi currently appears to be doing fine, which is promising and supports Dorothy’s post on the donation website. Her fever has subsided, and she is once again hungry, she wrote today.
