It’s a long one today, y’all, bear with me.
Emma has been here for a while. I didn’t post anything about her because I honestly wasn’t sure if she was going to make it. I didn’t want to upset anyone with the loss of ANOTHER kitten.
We are all so tired of seeing all the sad stuff that kitten season brings, but it’s nowhere near over (at least here..) so we can’t get lazy now. TNR is the only way we can control this overpopulation. TNR is the only solution to the endless “kittens found without mom” or “I found this cat that was hit by/thrown out of a car” or “I found these under my porch and took them inside without looking for mom, but now I have no idea what to do with them, so I’ll just take them to the shelter because they have to have someone who can handle it”.
The person who “CAN handle it” would have told you to trap the damn mom cat and handle it yourself.
If YOU see a cat outside without an ear tip, it is YOUR responsibility to trap that cat and take it to a clinic for TNR. Even if you aren’t physically able to go out there and do it yourself, EDUCATE YOURSELF and those around you about TNR. If you are in the position to donate to your local TNR programs, please consider doing so.
I’m tired of preaching it, y’all. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop.
Spay and Neuter is the only solution. Check out @trapdatcat for more information about the importance of TNR.

Emma has me wrapped around her fluffy little poo-covered paw
Seriously though, this girl fought so hard to get through whatever the hell took her other siblings from us. There were a handful of times I was absolutely certain she wasn’t going to survive. I’m honestly still a little surprised she made it. She is obviously a little bit behind for her age, but she is in great spirits and is continuing to gain weight at this point. She finally hit ONE WHOLE POUND this weekend!! @tomatofosterclub said.
