DOG HIT AND LEFT WITH OVER 110KM, BUT AN IRAQ WAR VETERAN PULLED OVER

Aaron Schneider, an Iraq war veteran, knew he had to stop and help a sick dog by the side of the road.

As a result of his decision, a life was saved that would not have been saved by others. In addition, one lucky dog will now be given a second chance.

One day while driving, Aaron came across a puppy that had clearly been hit by another vehicle. Without hesitation, the veteran pulled over, dashed across three lanes of traffic, and rushed to the animal’s rescue. It’s a good thing he did because the dog had been hit and killed by a car traveling at 110 km/h.

Aaron called 911 after bringing the dog to the side of the road, where he was no longer at risk of further injury from the traffic. He sat in the rain for an incredible three hours. Aaron made a litter for the puppy and then loaded him into the back of his friend’s truck when he realized he couldn’t wait any longer.

“My combat lifeguard training has begun, and I am grateful that I will be able to use it to assist him,” Aaron explained. “You will see a lot of losses after serving in Iraq, which is one of the reasons why I am determined to see his success.” A subsequent scan revealed that Buster, the puppy, had a broken rib and a torn trachea. Internal bruising. He will, thankfully, recover completely, thanks in large part to Aaron’s bravery.

Not only that, but Aaron adopted Buster after his recovery was complete, ensuring that the dog will now live the life of love and care he so richly deserves.

Aaron is an inspiration, and I’m confident Buster will have the best life possible in your care.
