DOG HASN’T BEEN ADOPTED IN A YEAR EVEN HE LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT

There was no doubt Wally would have a difficult time when he first arrived at the Twn of Isles Animal Sanctuary. When he arrived as a stray, he was perhaps 10 years old, and it was clear that he had spent the majority of his life outside. To name a few medical issues, Wally had a major infectious disease and was blind in one eye. He also obviously behaved strangely. His new pals were worried that his uncommon appearance may scare away potential families since they truly believed that everyone else would be able to notice the great thing they had so suddenly fallen in love with.

The Town of Isli Animal Shelter’s veterinary specialist Danielle Grle told The D. “He likes to drool over you and would do anything for some food,” He always enjoy just to sit back and do nothing. Wally wants nothing more than to share his long ride with a family, but it has been over a year and the adoption flyer is still at the sanctuary.

An elderly dog named Wally simply wants to spend his remaining years in peace, and his rescuers are eager to get him home as soon as possible because living in the sanctuary is starting to get to him.

He seems to be deteriorating, Grle said. “When he first arrived, he was in a good mood. He enjoys being outside, but he hears something wrong in his ear.

Without stairs, children under the age of 15, or other animals, Wally would have grown up in a peaceful environment. Other than that, Wally only needs a family that understands his medical needs; anything else, and he’ll give it to you in full.

After a challenging start to life, Wally now only wants to spend the remaining days cuddled up with a family who loves him.
