Kris Lenker and her husband were driving home after a hard day at work when they came upon a beautiful little cat. They initially mistook her for a juvenile deer, but as they learned she was a dog, she did not hesitate to snuggle up to the woman when she was rescued in perfect safety.
When they noticed her, they slowed down, got out of the car, and attempted to contact her, but she was terrified. She first paid little notice, but the pair did not give up and chose to continue following her.
The Dodo quoted Kris as saying:
“I was afraid, but I understood that he believed in me… We seemed to have come together for a reason.”
The woman patted her and assured her that she was secure, at which time the dog sank into her lap and stayed there for the remainder of the voyage home.
The dog was given the name Reba by the couple, and she has been receiving all of the care she deserves. She is still as loving as the day she was born, and she enjoys having her tummy stroked.
“She kicks us until we give up and roll onto her back.”
Reba first resisted being saved, but now she refuses to be separated from her rescuers, even if it means going outside to use the restroom.
“All he wants to do is snuggle up to us and kiss us.” It’s one of his favorite pastimes.”
Reba’s health has been a source of concern for the pair, since she seems underweight, her jaw is misaligned, and her teeth are in bad shape. As a result, they decided to conduct some tests with the assistance of contributions.
They ultimately discovered out that he was shot and his jaw was shattered, which is why he’s in such bad shape. She is nothing short of a miracle. Because surgery might exacerbate her illness, she would have to follow a specific diet for the rest of her life, and Kris will be there to help her.
