According to study findings reported in the Anthrozoös journal, adult women may sleep better next to a dog than a human, so it may be time to give in to those puppy-dog eyes and let your furry friend join you in bed.
The results of the study, which was carried out by Canisius College and gathered information on the sleeping patterns of 962 women, are a major victory for those of us who insist on allowing our dogs to join us in bed.
According to the survey’s findings, women who sleep with a dog often have better sleep quality than those who do so with a human companion.
In comparison to women who slept next to a human partner, those who slept with a dog reported less sleep disruptions and were less likely to be awakened in the middle of the night.
