The legendary 23-year career of arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history came to an end on February 1 when Tom Brady announced his retirement from the league (for real this time).
What will Brady do now that he has completed his career in football? He’s going to be the cat father, for starters.
Best of all, the two Siamese kittens the former Patriots and Buccaneers star recently revealed on social media that he had adopted are rescues from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Brady stated on Instagram that his daughter Vivian, 10, requested the adoption, writing, “Vivi wins again.”
It turns out that no one, not even the most famous football player in the world, can refuse his daughter or some cute kittens.
It’s obvious that Tom Brady likes to keep busy after spending a whopping 23 years playing in the NFL (even after reversing his retirement announcement last year), and we’re sure he’ll have his hands full with these two kittens in the house.

Logan Ryan, a former Buccaneers teammate, and his wife Ashley Bragg Ryan were also thanked by Brady for introducing him and his family to the humane society.
After Brady announced his retirement earlier this month, Ashley posted a picture of Brady and his daughter holding puppies at the shelter in August:
Ashley wanted to share a humanizing story on a day when many fans and sports commentators were considering Brady’s NFL legacy—not one about his football career, but rather about “the dad who volunteered at the animal shelter with his kids throughout an entire football season.” the one in which he and his children became close over naming puppies and bottle-feeding kittens. The one where he regularly attended in silence to improve things for his family and community.
Vivian’s passion for animals, according to Ashley, was another factor in the decision to go on the trip. “It was about Tom taking the very thing his little girl loves the most and turning it into an opportunity to spend time with her,” Ashley said.
Brady and Vivian have been volunteering at the shelter for months, and according to Regan Blessinger of the Humane Society, the girl fell in love with the two shelter kittens.
“Tom’s interest in adopting the Siamese mix kittens was understandable given that Vivian was drawn to them. These two adorable kittens have the ideal family.
Spending time with his family will be a priority for Brady even though he still has a ton of projects ahead of him after retiring, including a lucrative TV broadcaster position with Fox Sports. After 13 years of marriage, Brady announced in October that he and Gisele Bündchen were divorcing. The couple reportedly agreed to joint custody.
Brady wrote, “We are blessed with lovely and wonderful children who will always be the center of our world.” As parents, “We’ll keep cooperating so that they always get the love and care they deserve.
The cats appear to be a great way for Brady and his daughter to connect, and what’s even better is that he’s given two shelter cats who desperately needed one a home.
Celebrities who take in animals from shelters are always an inspiration because it gives their fans permission to “adopt, not shop.”
