They steal the stage when a high school senior brings his 92-year-old great-grandma to prom.

Every college student dreams about going to prom.
And if they aren’t dreaming about it, they are most definitely anticipating it.

Before their school years come to a conclusion, it’s the young boys’ and girls’ opportunity to spend a lovely night with their dates and friends, an opportunity to have fun, dance, and enjoy themselves.

Prom night was not something that teenage Dakota Wollan of Watford City, North Dakota, eagerly anticipated.

He was actually unsure about who to invite to the important event.

The High School senior’s dad got an idea when he heard from him that he had no one in mind to ask to attend to prom with him.

He reasoned that it would be amusing to introduce Dakota’s great-grandma to the prom experience because she had never attended one.
The student was not at all dismissive when he heard the idea.

He believed that taking his cherished great grandma would be an honor and an amazing night for them both!

After giving it some thought, he realized that this was the smartest move he had ever made.

So he made the decision to propose to his grandmother in a formal way.
I was given a 1985 Ford that she passed down to me, and I managed to get it going again. So I constructed a sign using that vehicle,” he told KFYR-TV.

The 92-year-old woman was astonished when she spotted the placard.

Why a young guy would want to spend such a memorable night with an elderly woman, she couldn’t fathom.

Wollan’s great-grandmother Madeline Miller remarked, “I was simply wondering why he would choose a 92-year-old coming to prom with him when there are so many young females in the school.”

But she said, “Yes.” Dakota had already stated that if she didn’t go, he wouldn’t either. She therefore had no genuine choice.
She had never attended prom before, the woman said to the news organization.

In fact, she was unable to recall whether such a thing existed throughout her lifetime.

Miller revealed that she only spent one and a half years in high school because she had to work on the family farm after her father fell ill.
So, here was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn more about this prom event.

When the big day finally arrived, the couple was prepared to enjoy the time of their lives.

They immediately attracted everyone’s attention as soon as they entered the hallway.
Both boys and girls couldn’t help but admire them and support them.

Miller recalls the evening as one of “walking behind my great grandson, listening to this music as we walked and people applauding and yelling.”

The other pupils were happy to see them, her great-grandson said.

Wallon said, “When we came out on the floor, everyone absolutely went crazy.
The couple’s dance dominated the event and undoubtedly made many people cry.

Such a motivating time!
