Two women were driving down a road in Bali, when one of them spotted a dog crouched over in a little doghouse in front of an empty villa. They immediately stopped to check on the dog, and realized how bad of shape she was in once they got closer. She looked mal.nourished and was missing the majority of her hair due to scabies, which caused her skin to become very scaly and painful.
During her recovery, she had many “firsts,” including visiting the beach and walking on grass. Lucy broke out of her shell and became very friendly and affectionate. She loves cuddles and enjoys playing with other dogs. A month later, Lucy finally found a forever home with a loving couple named Matt and Brianna from Washington D.C.
“I think given everything that she’s been through, the fact that she’s so sweet and so loving and trusting of us is just miraculous,” Brianna told The Dodo.
Lucy settled into her new home very quickly and bonded immediately with her new parents. She is living the life and is spoiled every single day. Her transformation is absolutely incredible. Watch for yourself in the video below, and click here to follow her adventures on Instagram.
