Bowie was a pet when he was adopted from the shelter in 2014, but his family eventually gave him back. When Bowie was first born in 2014, he was adopted from Gateway Pet Guardians, a shelter in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Sadly, he was eventually brought back to the shelter. After only a few months in the shelter, he was fortunate enough to induce placed inside a family rather than continue to reside there. But when it came time to finding a permanent residence, nobody needed him.
After 1,250 days, Bowie still hadn’t been adopted as days turned into months, which turned into years. Bowie may also be a well-mannered, adorably friendly, and sweet dog. Since his adoption fee had already been paid for, the rescue organization decided to provide Bowie’s adopter four complimentary private coaching sessions and a professional photo shoot.
In an effort to reach people who might be willing to give Bowie a chance, Gateway Pet Guardians made the decision to post his story on social media. Their submission was successful; they typically received 40 requests from people eager to work with Bowie. To find him the ideal home, they carefully went through each one of them.
They met a girl they thought would be the right fit, and this past weekend, he or she adopted Bowie!
