Adam’s mother has never truly accepted Jessica, despite the fact that they have been together since school. She made every effort to keep them apart, but to no avail.
Adam ignored his mother’s protests since he fell in love with Jessica at first sight. After overcoming numerous obstacles together, they ultimately made the decision to get married.
Jessica gave her future mother-in-law a toast on their wedding day. Adam’s mother left the wedding because of how upsetting her remarks were.
Adam’s mother consistently argued that he was too young and that he would meet more attractive women than Jessica.
Jessica always knew what was being said between Adam and his mother, but Adam never paid much attention to her.
Thus, she made the following toast on the wedding day:
“I want to toast your health with this glass.
I owe you a great deal.
You made every effort to ruin our relationship.
You even wore a white dress to our wedding.
Thankfully, our love has only gotten stronger in spite of everything you’ve done.
Thank you for that, then.
When Jessica was done, the guests realized Adam’s mother had left the room after they had all listened in silence.
She was embarrassed by her actions after this toast and came to the realization that true love is unbreakable.
